ECOsuperyacht was established by Richard Franklin in 2010. Richard is probably unique in having worked in both the environmental sector and in the superyacht industry. He holds a Master 500GT ticket and has spent time as captain of a number of yachts under both sail and power. Richard also holds an MSc in Environmental Technology, has worked in the environment industry developing new clean technologies, specialising in catalytic emissions treatment and is on the board of a specialist environmental investment fund.

Richard identified increasingly tough environmental legislation, along with rising fuel prices, as key challenges facing the superyacht industry. He established ECOsuperyacht to provide owners, captains and engineers with a practical approach to improving reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency, with a strong focus on delivering cost effective solutions that make yachts cleaner, less burdensome on the environment and compliant with current and future emissions regulations.

ECOsuperyacht has operations in Palma de Mallorca and in Fort Lauderdale. However we have customers throughout the Mediterranean and the USA.
