What does GO2 do?

GO2 is a nanoparticle based fuel additive that reduces fuel consumption up to 14% whilst dramatically reducing soot and harmful emissions by optimising the combustion process.

How does GO2 work?

GO2's Cerium Dioxide nanoparticles work by contributing and redistributing oxygen in the combustion chamber, whilst their catalytic properties also accelerate the rate of combustion. These two simultaneous effects allow the fuel to burn more thoroughly, maximising combustion and reducing emissions of soot, unburned fuel and other harmful emissions.

GO2 performance

GO2 has been the subject of extensive testing in the superyacht market. It has also accumulated millions of hours of operational use in the commercial marine, offroad and industrial markets.

Recent independent analysis of data from sea trials onboard MY APOGEE using GO2 showed a range of performance improvements, including:

  • 14% improvement in fuel efficiency
  • 34% reduction in soot (particulate matter)
  • 69% reduction in unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust

In practical terms, using GO2 dramatically reduces problems associated with exhaust soot and diesel smells whilst delivering significant net cost savings due to improved fuel efficiency.

Using GO2

  • Marine diesel fuel is dosed with GO2 at the rate of 1/4000 for optimum performance
  • Dosing with GO2 can be carried out using any of the following methods:
    • Dosing tanks prior to filling
    • By using an automated dosing system directly into fuel feed lines
    • By using an automated dosing system directly into the day tank
  • Instructions for dosing are supplied with every container
  • GO2 comes packaged in secure and easy to stow 10 litre and 20 litre containers, complete with easy dispense taps and a dosing device
 
 

GO2 pricing

  • The cost per litre of dosing diesel with GO2 works out at €0.035 per litre (ex VAT/IVA)*
  • GO2 is available in the following size/price combinations:
    • 10 Litres (to treat up to 40,000 litres): €1,400 (ex VAT)*
    • 20 Litres (to treat up to 80,000 litres): €2,800 (ex VAT)*
  • We are obliged to follow current EU VAT rules for the country in which GO2 is delivered and according to the VAT status of the yacht
  • Local delivery charges are dependent on the place of delivery specified
